**The opportunity**
The National Practice Management and Billing Manager leads the day-to-day operations and management of administration and billing to ensure a systematic and consistent process nationally, and to provide a high level of customer service to the Cancer Centre sites, doctors and patients. This position is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of new billing processes and systems nationally, that optimises revenue and minimises debt. This role provides an escalation point for the Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) Doctor group if issues arise within the practice management function.

**Things you’ll be doing**:

- In consultation with internal stakeholders optimise and maintain processes for Medical, Hospital and Radiation billing Nationally.
- In collaboration with the General Manager Revenue and Service ensures provision of accurate reporting, information and audit requests within the practice management function for Doctors
- Act as an escalation point for any Doctor queries relating to their billing.
- Oversee the timely data management on patient billings, invoices, receipts, clinical trial and debt ledger
- Monitor the billing activity at sites in the portfolio and investigate areas of performance outside of KPIs
- Oversee the development of work instructions and departmental manuals electronically and ensure the training and support is delivered to meet compliance requirements
- Regularly instigate random audits to ensure there is continuous improvement in billing teams
- Oversee billing team to ensure the design, effectiveness of existing and other relevant clinical forms ensuring compliance with Australian Standards
- Facilitates and supports admin leaders with the recruitment, selection, and training of all the billing administration team.
- Manages resource allocation effectively to improve billing operations across the Billing team.

**About you**:
**_Billing:_**_ _Previous Medical and Hospital Billing experience in a large complex health system.

**_Leadership_**: Proven ability to lead, engage and delegate initiatives to individuals/teams and hold them accountable ensuring a culture of success to achieve the Strategic Goals, Vision, Mission and Values of Icon

**_Project Management/Change Implementation:_** Demonstrated ability to design, plan, coordinate and deliver innovative learning and development initiatives and adjust deliver on time and on budget. effective transparent interpersonal communication (written and verbal), negotiation, influencing and collaborative problem solving skills when managing sensitive and change initiatives with a diverse range of stakeholders

**_Standards/Quality_**: Demonstrated ability to set standards for safety and quality and to exercise due diligence to ensure safety and quality risks are addressed and complies with relevant standards, state and national regulatory, ethical and privacy ensuring a culture of safety and optimal standards of care

**_Desired Qualifications_**: Project Management, Cert IV Health Administration
