**The Service**

KU James Cahill Preschool is one of our extended hours preschools, operating Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm throughout the year.

Close to public transport, KU James Cahill is **located in Waterloo **and caters for toddler and preschool aged children.

KU James Cahill has been involved in research projects that aim to support educators and families in their understanding of how to nurture children’s social and emotional wellbeing within the context of a preschool environment.

**The Role**

KU Burwood is looking for an educator with a completed **Certificate III **qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care that demonstrates drive and passion in their work with children.

This role will see you working 15 hours per week (7:50am-10:50am, Monday-Friday) on a permanent basis. You will also have priority access to additional hours in the service.

This is a great role for a student as you will be able to work in the morning and focus on your studied for the remainder of the day.

**To be considered for this role, it is essential you have**:

- Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
- A valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
- A recognised Certificate III in Children's Services qualification or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Child Protection training and knowledge of current legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- Sound understanding of the NQF, EYLF, Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
