**Clerk Grade 9/10, Salary ($113,343 pa - $124,901 pa), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading**
**Your role**
**This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and influence the future of human services contracting in DCJ.**
**What you’ll do**
The role of Executive Officer will provide a range of high-level executive, secretariat, and project support services to the Secretary.
This includes strategic advice, managing communications and implementing strategies to support the achievement of the organisation’s objectives.
Please see key accountabilities in the attached role description. This role has the following areas of focus (operational and/or policy):
- Child protection
- Out of home care
- Youth Justice
Other focus areas may include:
- Housing policy and operations and homelessness
- Disability policy and reform
- Corporate Services
- Diversity and Multiculturalism
- Ageing, Seniors and Veterans
- Volunteering, carers and youth
- Cluster agencies related to the above portfolios.
**What we’re looking for**
- excellent stakeholder management skills
- highly effective communication skills, including an ability to express complex material in plain English
- an ability to manage demanding and competing deadlines
- an ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders
- an ability to be proactive and to work autonomously
- experience working within some or all of the portfolio areas listed for the desired role (operational and/or policy experience)
- experience managing teams
- experience within an executive context is ideal.
