An opportunity has opened for a Casual Village Maintenance Officer, Handy Person to join our friendly team at our Townsend Park Retirement Village in Hove (South Australia). You will be assisting the Village Maintenance Officer with general maintenance and repairs of buildings, fixtures and fittings in accordance with the Village Maintenance Plan. You will be involved in general gardening duties.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated competence as a tradesperson and experience in a similar role. The Maintenance Officer is responsible for making decisions in relation to the execution of the maintenance activity within the village in accordance with existing frameworks and budget ensuring all work is carried out following the correct procedures.

To be successful you will have the following:

- Demonstrated competence as a tradesperson and experience in a similar role
- Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- Highly motivated and able to take initiative
- Ability to work individually and in a team
- Computer literate
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one) including automated external defibrillation
- RSA (desirable)
