We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Operations Manager
to join one of Australia's leading personal loan providers. What you'll do

You will be a positive thinker who has strong team management skills and will be responsible for driving performance of credit/sales operations team by developing and implementing best call-centre practices while continuously improving processes using your knowledge of daily and ground operations.

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will:

  • Directly manage and develop team members to maintain consistent daily performance and service quality.
  • Oversee day-to-day workflows, ensuring service levels and turnaround times are consistently met across all operational functions.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks, system issues, and process inefficiencies quickly, coordinating with Technology or Product teams as needed.
  • Manage implementation of automation and process changes - including user testing, rollout, and feedback tracking - to improve efficiency and reduce rework.
  • Take ownership of achieving defined operational and financial performance targets, including efficiency, cost-to-serve, and service-level KPIs.
  • Manage weekly and monthly reporting on performance results, variances, and root cause analysis, presenting actionable insights to the COO.
  • Drive corrective actions to address performance gaps and continuously improve operational outcomes.
  • Support the rostering team with resource planning for medium/long term

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years successful professional experience, in managing large, complex teams, ideally in a call-centre environment
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and high-pressure situations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage in a changing environment
  • Ability to foster a harmonious team environment and motivate a workforce
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
