**About the role - Permanent Full-time (0800-1630)**

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for providing maintenance and support services including, but not limited to, all Baptist Care SA properties that are owned and leased for Baptist Care SA Services. The Maintenance Officer works as part of a small team who, in conjunction with external contractors, are responsible for providing timely and effective maintenance, repair and upkeep to Baptist Care SA owned and leased properties.
- Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: _
- Provide general maintenance services to all Baptist Care SA residential, commercial leased and owned property.
- Assist with other property setup activities such as participating in property risk assessments and the installation and setup of furniture.
- Liaise with real estate agents, landlords and maintenance personnel regarding property maintenance related matters.
- Participate in the engagement and supervision of external contractors who undertake work at Baptist Care SA sites.
- Assist with project closeout maintenance.

**About you**:
You will also have the following skills and experience:

- A minimum of 5 years of recent and industry related experience in the field of maintenance.
- Basic carpentry, plastering, tile and silicone repairs, roof and fencing repairs.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Strong time and organisational management skills.

You will be required to have, or be willing to obtain:

- Full unrestricted South Australia Driver’s License
- DHS Child-Related Employment Screening or Working with Children check
- National Police Clearance
- Training: Provide First Aid (HLTAID011)
- Training: Safe Environments for Children and Young People (Through Their Eyes) or willingness to obtain
- Willingness to undertake a Functional Capacity Evaluation and health screening
- Ability to work outside of normal office hours may be required
- Evidence of current COIVD 19 vaccinations including any booster requirements
