**ABOUT THE ROLE...**

Zoos SA is looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic individual to work at Adelaide Zoo to lead our multi-disciplinary Assets and Maintenance Team. The position will be in a full time capacity, working over a 5 day roster.

As the Team Leader of Operations team, you will:

- Provide leadership over the day to day activities and assist the General Manager of Operations in current and upcoming projects.
- Assist in setting goals and standards for projects and team members support to the Zoo
- Have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work well within a team and independently;
- Manage the operational budget of the Assets and Maintenance team to ensure effective asset management through capital, recurrent and preventative maintenance programs
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of high standards of presentation of the Zoo grounds and facilities.
- Prepare concept briefs for the development of new and existing exhibits and animal facilities by researching habitat themes and ensuring animal behaviour and Workplace Health & Safety requirements are met.
- Ensure the highest of standards with presentation of grounds and facilities.

**ABOUT YOU...**

To be considered for this position you will need to meet the following selection criteria:

- Certificate III or higher in a recognized and relevant qualification or trade
- Demonstrate a high level of experience in;
- Property maintenance and management or
- Assets management
- Leading and managing a team of over 10 people
- Managing budgets and keeping projects within cost limitations
- Demonstrate significant experience in:

- Overcoming and managing difficult and challenging situations.
- An understanding of key environmental issues.
- An understanding of the importance of operations management within the organisation.
