At Optimised Maintenance, the Technical Document Writer prepares operational readiness manuals and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information easily. In projects, they are responsible for the development and writing of Operational and Maintenance documentation which best represents the controls to safely manage an asset. People typically suited to these roles come from either a trade or engineering background and have spent significant time in a maintenance planning, scheduling or a maintenance improvement role.

Reporting to the Manager for Business Development & Growth and under the support and guidance of the Principal Engineer at Optimised Maintenance you will be responsible for the following deliverables.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Structured work instructions which clearly articulate the maintenance requirement.
- O&M documentation, including manuals for each project for handover of the asset.
- Work with execution to ensure work instruction is clear and easily interpreted.
- Support and facilitate change management in the delivery of the work instructions.
- Ensure detailed work instructions suit and align with the ERP requirements.
- Evaluate maintenance practices for practical use.

To be deemed suitable for this role you must meet the following criteria.

**Key suitability criteria**:

- 4+ years of experience in a similar position developing operational readiness documentation including, but not limited to, O&M Manuals.
- Background in operational construction, projects and electrical maintenance.
- High level safety in operations and best practice.
- Understanding how work instructions and tools are applied.
- Able to facilitate workshops to develop the requirements for building technical documentation.
- Experience with the use of MS Suite Package including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.
- An eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to develop effective and trusting professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Construction, mining, manufacturing or similar industry project experience is desirable.
- Formal trade and/or engineering qualifications (electrical) is desirable.
