Inventory Controller - Laverton North
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Inventory Controller to join our Resources and Industrials division, based in Laverton North. Our Laverton North Site is a Dangerous & Hazardous Goods facility supporting several B2B customers. A fast-paced site driven by safety and compliance, this facility services major ASX listed Chemical suppliers and manufacturers
As the Inventory Controller, you will:
- Ensure that products are properly accounted for and stored, contributing to the smooth functioning operations- Ensure all inbound and outbound orders are perfectly aligned with our WMS.- Perform regular inventory audits and analyses.- Review, develop, and implement quality control techniques and procedures to ensure inventory accuracy and inventory management.- Ensure and maintain a high standard of accuracy when completing annual stocktakes and cycle counts.- Consult with the site management team, customer representatives and suppliers as required with respect to all inventory management activities. Investigate the root cause of the variances. Manage system reconciliation. Coordinate the disposal of obsolete, damaged & expired stocks. Effective labelling and management of customer stock.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1 + year experience in inventory or warehousing/logistics.- Industry experience in Chemicals/Dangerous Goods/FMCG advantageous- Initiative-taking and results-driven mindset, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.- Experience using MS Office 365, Outlook, Excel, and previous use of RF terminals/scanners highly regarded.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
