**The Opportunity**

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is a leading supplier of construction and mining equipment and is part of a global business. We are currently looking for a Logistics and Tenders coordinator to support our Mining Sales department, by handling the new mining equipment heavy haulage transport from receiving the overseas shipments to transport throughout Australia. The coordinating of customer tenders working closely with the Mining Sales team to facilitate the tender document response. Role based at our Brisbane Corporate Support Office, located Wacol Queensland.

**Reporting to the National Sales Administration Manager - Mining you will be responsible for**:

- Leading the logistics requirements for mining equipment and attachments
- Co-ordinate national local Logistics and Heavy Haulage Transport Suppliers.
- Handle the national preferred Heavy Haulage Transport Supplier Agreements, performance in partnership with key internal stakeholders.
- Co-ordinate and liaise with the Freight Forwarder for overseas imports from the factories.
- Co-ordinate customer Tender responses working with the sales team and key internal stakeholders to finalise the Company responses
- local options pricing & descriptions - Manage & update annually
- To be conversant with and take an active part in all Quality Procedures, SOX and Internal audit compliance for the Mining Sales departments.
- Prior experience in Logistics involving overseas imports and local road transportation.
- Understanding of large mining machinery and heavy haulage transport in Australia.
- Demonstrated experience with high-level communication skills, with the ability to highlight risks/formulate solutions to internal stakeholders the review with Suppliers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the customer experience in the mining industry
- Experience in the use of contract terminology and development
- Excellent attention to details and ability to multi task
- Team co-ordination and ability to prioritise workload with a high level of accuracy.
- Clear business level communication and presentation skills.
