Wolston Farmhouse is one of Brisbane’s oldest surviving farmhouses, built in 1853 and is a popular heritage attraction for Brisbane families. Wolston Farmhouse is 1 of 15 heritage sites managed by NTAQ (National Trust of Australia Queensland).

We are seeking an experienced Cafe Coordinator to work each Friday to Sunday to coordinate the operations of the Wolston Farmhouse “Tea Terrace” which operates from 10.00 am -2.00 pm each weekend. This role would be ideal for a person that has operated a cafe business or worked at supervisory level within a Food and Beverage establishment. Enjoy your working days in a beautiful country location, as part of a charity committed to the conservation of Queensland heritage.

**Position details & duties**
- Work each Friday to Sunday, supervising a small friendly team of keen staff and volunteers.
- Professionally serve food and beverages to provide a simple farm-style menu which may include a rustic high tea product.
- Ensure all guests receive a friendly, welcoming and enjoyable experience.
- Coordinate ordering, staffing, food safety and ensure safe work practices are always followed.
- Role includes set up, opening, closing, food service, and cleaning including dish room duties.
- Extra shifts will occasionally be required to assist at events booked by external suppliers.
- Pay and work conditions are under the Amusements, Events & Recreation Award at Grade 5 or 6 dependant on skill set and experience.

**Selection Criteria**:

- A minimum of two years’ experience at Cafe Coordinator level is required.
- Must have genuine leadership experience to coordinate a small team.
- Is able to provide food service team training as required.
- Certificate in Food Safety or similar is required, or is willing to obtain.
- You will have friendly personal interaction skills required to welcome guests and deliver excellent customer service and work productively with the staff and volunteer team.
- A current Qld Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) is required.
- Will be available to work Friday to Sunday.
- Has availability to work occasional extra shifts as required to support event bookings at the property.
- Ideal to live locally and must have your own reliable transport.
- You will have appropriate personal presentation to work in a heritage tourism environment.
- Must be self-directed with excellent time management and ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Role requires average level of fitness, including the ability to lift up to 10 kg and perform bending and twisting.
- First Aid certificate is preferred.
- An interest in Queensland heritage is desirable.
