**About the position**
NEX is currently seeking an experienced Event Coordinator on a permanent basis to oversee the success of events such as weddings, corporate functions, conferences, concerts, and also Club Member events. Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager, the Event Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service and for ensuring the seamless interface between client requirements and function operations. This role will be responsible for the meet and greet of the client and coordination of all bookings in preparation of the event. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Managing the client 3 weeks prior to the arrival of the event, finalising all details and following through with the clients on the date
- Managing the resourcing of all conference and events including delegation and instruction of function staff
- Sourcing approval and sign off for all clients on the booking event order and pursuing final payment
- Liaising with Management in relation to internal Function/Training requirements
- Effectively coordinating cleaners and food & beverage staff for banquets and events as per the booking event order
- Supervising all cleaning and room sets for NEX
- Undertaking other duties as directed by the Manager
