**About the roles**
An exciting opportunity exists for two highly organised and motivated people join our Community Development department and become integral to our Diversity and Inclusion portfolio and vision.
These roles will primarily work in the Volunteering, Rainbow Pride, Multicultural and Healthy Ageing portfolios. If you have particular skills in one or more of these areas, we want to hear from you. Your passion and agility will also enable you to contribute across all areas of diversity and intersectionality such as disability and Aboriginal communities as required.
You will be part of a dedicated and highly motivated team that is responsible for the development, review, reporting and implementation of range of strategies plans and initiatives including but not limited to:
- Community Wellbeing Plan
- Gender Equity Access Plan
- Other plans that may be developed across Community Development
- Day to day (role dependent) duties may include but are not limited to:_
- Facilitating the smooth operations of senior citizen social clubs across six centres and support to senior citizens' clubs
- Supporting the newly established Multicultural Advisory Committee
- Support of community organisations looking to increase their capacity to provide accessible and Inclusive volunteers programs with a focus on people with a disability
- Supporting and implementing the recommendations of the Rainbow Pride Advisory group in support of LGBTQIA + community
- Providing advice and support for the successful delivery of the Community for All Abilities projects.
- Developing and implementing communications and engagement plans
- Building the capacity of partners, stakeholders and internal staff for successful outcomes
- Organising various activities in celebration of Diversity and Inclusion for the City of Glen Eira

**About you**
You are proactive, agile and resourceful. You will be results focused and have an ability to prioritise, communicate effectively, work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. You will bring to the role your community facing experience, having worked across a broad range of diversity and inclusion portfolios.
You will also have:
- A tertiary qualification in the social sciences, planning, health promotion or community development disciplines
- Demonstrated experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and implementing programs, strategies and initiatives.
- The ability to innovate and think outside the box
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining partnerships and stakeholder relations
- Highly refined communication skills with succinct and effective articulation across various audiences, and experience in writing reports.
