Join our Community Compliance team where you will make a difference by providing effective and efficient Parking Enforcement duties within the Shire. Our Parking Enforcement Officers are responsible for providing value to our community by maintaining safe and equitable use of space to park. Using both education and enforcement methods our Parking Enforcement Officers focus on parking safely, vehicle turnover and public amenity, influencing parking behavior to ensure exceptional experiences for our community.

**About the Role**

As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you’ll play an important role in supporting community safety and accessibility across the municipality. Each day you will contribute to the efficient flow of traffic, enhance public safety and help maintain a fair and respectful use of public spaces.

In this role you will:

- Proactively enforce parking regulations in line with the Road Safety Act and Regulations, the Local Government Act, Local Laws and other relevant legislation.
- Patrolling assigned areas on foot or by motor vehicle.
- Issuing parking infringement notices on behalf of the Council.
- Record and maintain clear records of enforcement matters.
- Responding to and investigating parking related complaints.
- Responding to and investigating abandoned vehicle related complaints.
- Liaising and communicating with School Crossing Supervisors.
- Operate a school crossing (from time to time).

We’re looking for someone who can:

- Provide outstanding face-to-face customer service with professionalism and empathy.
- Work a flexible, rotating roster between 7:00am - 8:00pm, Monday to Saturday (including evenings, weekends, and public holidays).
- Stay organised and manage time effectively while patrolling assigned areas.
- Write clear, concise, and accurate reports for use in enforcement.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and remain composed under pressure.
- Enjoy being part of a positive, supportive team culture where collaboration.
- Hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence and Working With Children Check.
