About the Role
We’re looking for a **Marketing Automation Manager** to join our team on a **12-month full-time contract** to cover **maternity leave**. This is a key role responsible for the **integration, implementation, and optimisation of Tealium Customer Data Platform (CDP) and Braze**, ensuring seamless execution of marketing automation strategies.
This role requires expertise in **data management, customer segmentation, and engagement strategies** to drive personalised marketing campaigns across multiple channels. You will work closely with **Marketing, Data, Product, and Technology teams** to ensure marketing efforts are data-driven, effective, and scalable.
You’ll also oversee **one direct report based in the Philippines**, providing mentorship, workflow management, and effective delegation of tasks.
**This is a hybrid role, requiring 2.5 days per week in our Sydney office.**

Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Capability Enhancement:
- Lead the **integration and optimisation** of **Tealium and Braze** to improve marketing automation capabilities.
- Act as the **primary point of contact** for internal teams and external partners on key personalisation projects.
- Prioritise and manage **backlog tasks**, workshopping solutions and scripting attributes for customised connectors.
Tealium & Braze Management:
- Manage **customer data models, profiles, and audience segmentation** for targeted marketing and analytics.
- **Optimise customer engagement strategies** using Braze segmentation, automation, A/B testing, and personalisation.
- Work with **Technology and Data teams** to integrate **Tealium CDP** with databases, web, apps, and marketing automation platforms.
- **Develop Braze front-end** using HTML and JavaScript and script **Liquid codes** for dynamic content via API.
- Establish and maintain **documentation** for **data flows, integrations, campaign workflows, and best practices**.
People & Performance Management:
- Oversee **one direct report** who assists in managing and setting up Braze campaigns.
- Provide **mentorship, coaching, and performance oversight** to ensure best practices in campaign execution and personalisation.
- Foster a **collaborative team environment** that enhances productivity and innovation.
You’ll Succeed in This Role If You Have:
- **Experience managing Tealium CDP, Braze, or similar platforms** (e.g. Marketo, Adobe, Segment).
- Strong understanding of **data management, customer segmentation, and multi-channel marketing strategies**.
- **Proficiency in scripting (Java, Ruby, HTML)** to enable API integrations and marketing automation.
- Excellent **analytical skills** with the ability to derive insights from data to inform strategies.
- Strong **stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration** experience.
- Familiarity with **Australian market data privacy regulations** and marketing compliance.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with **data visualisation and analytics tools**.
- A background in **software engineering, platform engineering, or marketing automation engineering**.
- Experience in managing **customer journey automation** and audience targeting.
- Previous experience in **mentoring or managing** a team member.

- Struggle with **cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management**.
