Exciting opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join the team on a 3-month contract based in Newcastle.
**Role Title**: Project Support Officer
**Hours**:38-hour week
**Salary**:$44 per hour plus superannuation
**Location**: Newcastle
**Contract**: 3-month contract

**Your new company**
Hays are partnered with a local government agency based in Newcastle. They are currently looking for an experienced Project Support Officer to join the team. This role will be a 3-month contract that has the potential to be extended.

This is a hybrid working arrangement, working five days in the office spanning over two weeks. You will be working within a friendly and supportive team to grow and develop your skills in a rewarding and challenging position.

**Your new role**
Your day-to-day duties will include:

- Provide executive and secretarial support to managers including but not limited to coordinating meetings, appointments, travel for conferences and seminars.
- Ability to multitask, manage competing deadlines and priorities tasks accordingly.
- Monitor the performance of administration and project services, identifying areas for improvement, making recommendations and coordinating approved actions to increase the efficiency of administration and project processes.
- General administrative support in preparing, reviewing and tracking a range of correspondence including but not limited to briefing notes and reports.

**What you'll need to succeed**

- Previous experience working as a Project Support Officer or Project Administrator.
- Ability to seek information and liaise with stakeholders.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and strong communication skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Collaborative and resilient approach to your work.
