**About the opportunity**
Drive meaningful change in public health by contributing your project coordination expertise to a high-impact initiative. NSW Health Pathology is seeking an experienced Project Officer to support the implementation of the Chemistry Equipment Project—a vital component of statewide service enhancement. In this role, you'll lead end-to-end project activities, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time and within scope. Your analytical and organisational strengths will be critical as you assess system performance, develop work plans, and maintain detailed documentation to support governance and reporting.

This is a dynamic opportunity to work closely with clinical and corporate stakeholders, providing essential guidance on project risk, quality assurance, and implementation strategies. **What you'll be doing**

The Project Officer is responsible for:

- Managing a wide range of project activities to support the implementation of the Chemistry Equipment project in collaboration with management, stakeholders and peers.
- The effective and efficient delivery of defined project outcomes within agreed timeframes, budgets, quality and resources.
- Providing research and analysis to inform project development and implementation and senior management, as needed.
- Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated extensive work experience and capability in providing project support at a senior level.
- Demonstrated experience in balancing complex and multiple issues whilst maintaining quality around core project work.
- Proven ability to manage project scope, monitor project progress, identify and manage project risk and provide appropriate advice to the Executive.
- Demonstrated strong strategic, organisational and planning skills with the capacity to successfully meet deadlines.
- Proven proficiency in using PC based software including an advanced level of proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (word processing, PowerPoint, spread sheets and graphics) and working knowledge on project management software (Microsoft Project) and project management methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent verbal and written expression, and the ability to interact with various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
