**Job Description**:

We are a purpose-led member organisation striving to create greater value for our members and deliver on our purpose to be “The driving force for a better WA.”- Join the RAC Insurance Claims team and know you are making a genuine difference to the lives of our members Our Claims Specialists are responsible for having telephone and online based conversations with our members when they need us most.- We offer attractive working hours which is structured as follows:
- Week 1 - 7.30am - 3.30pm (West Perth Office based)- Week 2 - 9.00am - 5.00pm (Working from home)- Opportunities can be made available on a Permanent basis or on a Max Term 12month Contract/Secondment.- On a daily basis you will be contributing by:
- Managing an individual caseload of claims through to finalisation
- Identify potential recovery action as part of effective claims management
- Review quotes and authorise repair costs
- Negotiate on settlements for claims
- Act as a technical referral point for internal teams
- Provide empathy, understanding whilst handling complex conversations
- Consistently provide service that exceeds member’s expectations
- Identify continuous improvement initiatives

What are we looking for?- Exceptional customer service skills and a high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and strong negotiation skills
- Ability to gather, collate and present evidence and make informed decisions
- Ability to clearly communicate complex processes and decisions to our members
- Results orientated mindset
- Self-driven and motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Experience in claims lodgement and knowledge of end-to-end claims process desirable
- Previous experience working within the financial services industry desirable
