Job Opportunity

The role of Insurance Manager is a key position in our organisation, playing a pivotal part in the management of our insurance function as we embark on a transformative journey.

This opportunity allows an experienced and strategic Insurance Manager to join our established treasury team and contribute their expertise in developing innovative insurance and risk management strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage our suite of insurance policies, working closely with brokers, advisors, and internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective insurance and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee insurance claims, conduct quantitative risk analysis, and ensure that insurable risks are effectively mitigated.
  • Prepare executive briefings, Board papers, and strategic risk assessments to support our leadership.
  • Engage across the business to provide expert advice on emerging risks, support enterprise-wide risk frameworks, and educate stakeholders on best practices.

Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Business, Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or a similar quantitative discipline.
  • At least three years of experience managing corporate insurance programs, ideally within a regulated or infrastructure-focused environment.
  • Deep understanding of the Australian and global insurance market, risk transfer mechanisms, and enterprise risk management.
  • Experience in the energy sector is highly regarded.
  • Strong data analysis, spreadsheet modelling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
