Job Opportunity: Wills and Estates Lawyer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Wills and Estates Lawyer to join our team at AFL Recruitment. As a Senior Associate/Special Counsel, you will have the opportunity to work with a premier law firm, servicing high-end clients and engaging in stimulating and challenging work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising and transacting on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, probate, succession planning, asset protection, guardianship, administration of deceased estates, and Family Provision Act claims.
  • Litigating on wills, trusts, and estates-related matters.
  • Building relationships with clients and developing new business opportunities.
  • Working collaboratively with the Practice Group Director and other team members to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Admitted as a lawyer in NSW with a minimum of 6 years post-admission experience.
  • Experience practicing in wills and estates law with reputable firms or in-house.
  • Accredited Specialist in succession law or have attained/studying a Graduate Diploma of Applied Law (Wills and Estates) or Master of Laws specializing in Wills/Estates.
  • Strong time prioritization, people/leadership, and client management skills.
  • Results-focused, proactive, and commercially astute.
  • Experience in new client development and marketing.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and legal software skills.
