Job Title: Educational Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Educational Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for modeling excellence in teaching and learning through demonstration lessons and mentoring and coaching teachers in improving their skill, knowledge and effectiveness.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance teacher practice and improve student outcomes
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop a shared vision for effective teacher practice
  • Provide expert advice on curriculum planning and delivery, and lead the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies
  • Design and deliver professional learning programs, including developing processes and protocols for observation and feedback of teacher practice
  • Support teachers to seek, analyse and act on feedback and improve their practice
  • Provide evidence-based feedback to inform teacher effectiveness and development
  • Mentor and coach teachers to improve their classroom practice and use of student data to inform teaching approaches
  • Develop and promote school-wide professional learning structures, processes and protocols

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and leaders to achieve common goals
