The Role of the Learning Specialist

We seek an experienced educator to join our team as a Learning Specialist. This role involves building the capacity of teachers to implement inclusive pedagogical practices within their classrooms to enhance student learning and wellbeing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To model excellence in teaching and learning through demonstration lessons and mentoring/coaching teachers in improving the skill, knowledge and effectiveness of the teaching workforce.
  2. To develop and lead professional learning programs that focus on improving student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
  3. To work closely with Assistant Principals and other colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the achievement of the college's strategic directions.

This position sits alongside another Learning Specialist - Inclusion, whose role focuses on ensuring that the social and educational services of the school are available to students with impairments or disabilities.
