Senior Support Professional

We are seeking an experienced Senior Support Professional to enhance the quality of life for people living with dementia.

  • Provide support to family members in the community through a range of activities and social participation.
  • Facilitate access to respite from their caring role.
  • Work under supervision to implement safe and effective programs and supports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Planning: plan and facilitate monthly meetings, identify gaps or needs, and manage resources.
  • Administration: learn and implement administrative procedures.
  • Promote a Safe Working Environment: provide a safe work environment at all times and report unsafe situations.
  • Health and Wellbeing: observe the general wellbeing and report any changes.
  • Workplace Health and Safety: be aware of the safety of all persons within the program and report unsafe situations.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Aged Care or Community Services or relevant experience.
  • Experience working with family carers and facilitating group activities.
  • Current drivers licence, Current First Aid Certificate Level 2, and Current Police Check.
  • Desirable: experience working with people living with dementia and their family carers.
