About the OpportunityThis exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Dementia Specialist.
As a Dementia Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support services to individuals living with dementia and their families.
You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and community members to provide person-centered care and support.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with older adults, ideally within residential and community settings, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals living with dementia and their families
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Deliver educational programs and workshops on dementia awareness and management
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify individualized needs and goals
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance access to resources and services
- Relevant qualification in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care, or Mental Health
- Experience working with older adults, preferably in residential and community settings
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
