About this role

A rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people with dementia. You will play a vital role in delivering our dementia support program, working collaboratively to improve outcomes and implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support families, caregivers, and clinical staff to understand how dementia impacts individuals.
  • Equip carers and clinicians to prevent and respond to behaviour changes through coaching and development of resources, including behaviour support planning.
  • Develop reports that are contextualised to individual situations and people, effecting change on the ground and improving quality of life for people living with dementia.
  • Undertake assessments to understand the holistic experience of the person and their care network.
  • Work in partnership with the broader dementia sector to build capability across the home and aged care sectors.
  • Contribute to research, projects, and programs to meet the changing needs of the sector.

Requirements

  • Experience working in dementia support or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of dementia and its impact on individuals and families.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training and resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
