Job Title: Mine Operations Coordinator

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of our mining fleet.

As a Mine Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling fleet operations in real-time to ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity.

  • Address issues promptly and escalate when necessary.
  • Assist in transitioning from existing Fleet Management system to new Fortex FMS system, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Implement and adhere to new processes, workflows, and standards that align with adoption of Fortex system.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance control room efficiency, focusing on transitioning from active control intervention to an 'intervene by exception' model.
  • Maintain clear communication and coordination with operational and support teams to ensure alignment with site objectives and seamless issue resolution.
  • Participate in testing and commissioning of Fortex functionalities, providing valuable feedback to support system improvements.
  • Ensure accurate collection, monitoring, and analysis of operational data to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations, ensuring that control room activities align with our safety and environmental policies.

Key qualifications and skills include:

  • Demonstrated experience in mine control or similar operational roles within the mining industry.
  • Proficiency with fleet management systems such as Minestar, Fortex, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience supporting transitions or implementations of new technologies or systems in an operational environment.
  • Familiarity with principles and practices related to autonomous mining operations is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to address and resolve operational challenges in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
  • Strong understanding of fleet management systems and control room technologies.
  • Ability to analyze data and operational performance to identify trends and optimize processes.
  • Clear and concise communication skills to collaborate across teams and provide timely updates.
