Job Title: Mine Operations Specialist

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Operations Specialist to play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mining fleet.

This key position works closely with the Supervisor - Mine Control, managing real-time fleet performance and supporting the adoption of new system features and processes.

The Mine Operations Specialist will focus on improving control room operations, refining processes, and enhancing communication between teams.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control fleet operations in real-time to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Assist in transitioning from our existing Fleet Management system to a new system, minimizing disruption to operations.
  • Implement and adhere to new processes and standards that align with the adoption of the new system.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance control room efficiency, focusing on transitioning from active control intervention to an exception-based model.
  • Maintain clear communication and coordination with operational and support teams to ensure alignment with site objectives.
  • Participate in testing and commissioning of system functionalities, providing valuable feedback for system improvements.
  • Ensure accurate collection, monitoring, and analysis of operational data to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations, ensuring that control room activities align with our safety and environmental policies.
  • Support the training and development of team members in adopting new technologies and processes.
