About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated High-Profile Project Lead to join our team at RAC WA. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a pivotal role in leading complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

This is a 12-month maximum term, full-time role with the view to extend. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of project experience to date, including procurement of services from external vendors, business change, technical implementations, compliance initiatives, and transformative projects across an organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that project goals, scope, budget, and timeline are met.
  2. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
  3. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules and other key documentation as required.
  4. Monitor and report project progress, risks, and issues to the executive team and project stakeholders.
  5. Conduct Steering Group meetings to ensure informed decisions are made regarding the progress, options, and direction of the project.
  6. Implement and enforce best practice in project management, a mix of waterfall and agile methodologies including project governance.
  7. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture by providing guidance, support, and mentorship to project team members.
  8. Drive continuous improvement in project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
  9. Ensure quality and customer satisfaction by delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations.
Requirements
  1. Significant experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  2. Senior stakeholder management skills, being able to bring parties together to collaborate, get consensus on key decisions, and ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  3. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) and project management tools.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to effectively manage and motivate cross-functional project teams.
  6. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  7. Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  8. Experience with resource allocation, risk, and issue management.
  9. Demonstrated resilience in dealing with complex stakeholder relationships.
  10. Proven experience in communicating with and influencing stakeholders to Executive level.
  11. Demonstrated experience in quickly assessing project risks and issues and managing the mitigation and resolution of these in a pragmatic way.
  12. Strong experience in managing work across informal cross-functional teams.
