About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Civil Designer to join our team at MinRes, a leading ASX mining services company. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growth-driven organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing civil design solutions for process and non-process mining-related infrastructure, including bulk earthworks, drainage, roads, and rail. You will work closely with our Engineering and Project teams to ensure that designs are accurate, completed within assigned project schedules, and meet relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with the Engineering and Project teams during design development of assigned areas;
  • Facilitate detail 2D and 3D model development of mining operations infrastructure, including light vehicle and haulage roads, stockyards, pipelines, railway, process plant pads, camp and buildings pads;
  • Produce 2D design drawings for construction, including plan and profile road designs;
  • Develop bulk earthworks design detail, including bill of quantities;
  • Ensure that designs are accurately completed within assigned project schedules;

As a Senior Civil Designer at MinRes, you will have the opportunity to work on large-scale mining construction projects, utilizing your skills in AutoCAD, 12D, and other civil drafting packages. Our ideal candidate will possess strong written, verbal communication, and team membership skills, with a desire to implement and follow through on multiple issues and projects to achieve productive results.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering;
  • 8+ years' industry experience working on similar large-scale mining construction projects;
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and team membership skills;
  • High level of PC literacy across AutoCAD suite, Navisworks, Microsoft Office Packages, and Civil & Structural drafting packages;
