Procurement Expert Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Expert to join our team in ensuring the efficient and effective management of procurement, tender, contract management, and fleet management functions within a local government organization.

About the Role:

  • End-to-End Procurement: Coordinate and manage the entire procurement process from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Tender Administration: Assist in the administration of the tender process, guaranteeing that all legislative requirements and Council Policies are met.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts, ensuring adherence to legislative requirements and organizational policies.
  • Fleet Management: Oversee the management of all fleet vehicles, ensuring they are properly maintained and managed.
  • Building Maintenance and Repairs: Arrange for building maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • High-Volume Environment: Work effectively in a high-volume environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Statutory Knowledge: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of statutory requirements related to procurement, tendering, and contract management.
  • Fleet Management Experience: Show experience with fleet management principles and procedures.
  • Advanced Interpersonal Skills: Possess advanced interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Written Communication: Display highly developed written communication ability.
  • Negotiation and Customer Service Skills: Showcase strong negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Hold relevant tertiary qualifications.
