Procurement Specialist - Kensington

This is a permanent, full-time position based in the heart of Kensington.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in Kensington. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for managing tender processes, providing expert guidance on procurement planning, and overseeing contract lifecycle activities.

About the Role
  • Tender Management
    • Develop and manage tender processes for medium to high-risk procurements.
  • Procurement Guidance
    • Provide expert guidance on procurement planning, policy interpretation, contract formation, and contract management.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management
    • Oversee contract lifecycle activities, including extensions, variations, and exemption requests.
  • Stakeholder Relationships
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with Government, industry, and community stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership
    • Manage and support team members to achieve successful contract development outcomes.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Considerable experience in complex procurement environments within Government or equivalent industry.
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including tender preparation, contract negotiation, and time and financial management.
  • Expertise
    • Evidence of delivering effective solutions to complex procurement challenges.
  • Communication
    • High-level communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in liaising and negotiating with external organisations.
  • Leadership
    • Leadership, supervisory, organisational, and program planning skills, including promoting staff development and improving performance.
