Procurement Specialist

Maxima seeks an experienced procurement specialist to fill a key role.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring purchasing compliance and reviewing procurement transactions to ensure sourcing, selection, and requisitioning standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Verify goods and services meet relevant policies and procedures.
  • Review procurement transactions for adherence to company standards.
  • Monitor transactional purchasing under Purchasing Agreements.
Contract Management
  • Provide administration support for maintenance of Inventory purchasing agreements and leasing agreements.
  • Support review, maintenance, and updating of procurement and contract management documentation.
  • Apply Document Control Procedure PCS1420 to ensure electronically stored documents comply with legislation.
System Support
  • Maintain expert knowledge of P2P systems and stay up-to-date with system changes and enhancements.
  • Provide support to Requisitions Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Assist business end users with requestors and receipt process in the finance system.
  • Support Category Managers in finance system modules for procurement and contract management.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification or commercial experience in a relevant discipline (e.g., procurement, business, administration).
  • Progress towards a relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated business administration experience with commercial or finance activities.
  • Highly developed written communication skills.
  • Highly developed organisational skills with ability to manage a large workload and achieve desired outcomes within timeframes.
