Lead a Team of Experienced Miners

About Us: Evolution Mining operates six mines across Australia and Canada, providing diverse career opportunities.

This leadership role is an exciting opportunity to lead one of our Block Cave mining crews at Northparkes. In this pivotal position, you'll be responsible for delivering safe, timely, and high-quality ore production to the mill.

You will work closely with a dedicated team of operators and collaborate with other underground departments including services, development, maintenance, and projects.

  • Leading and mentoring your crew to deliver safe and efficient ore production
  • Ensuring operational targets are met by keeping the schedule tight and the quality spot-on (grade, size, moisture)
  • Driving safety conversations and improving risk assessments
  • Working closely with other teams to achieve common goals
  • Supporting team development and recognising great work

This leadership role requires your decisions directly influence production outcomes. You'll be on the ground, guiding your crew, driving safety performance, and maintaining high standards.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Mentoring and guiding your team to achieve optimal production results
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve safety and productivity
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Demonstrated experience in block cave mining and or sub-level cave production environments
  • A strong understanding of underground production environments including automated/remote loaders, crushers, and conveyors
  • A current Underground NSW Mine Supervisor Practising Certificate
  • Minimum 1 year in a Production Supervisor role
  • At least 5 years of underground mining experience
  • First Aid, Working at Heights, security clearance, and a current Driver's Licence
