This is a residential role based in the Parkes local area, working a balanced 7-on, 7-off roster with 12-hour shifts—giving you the time to enjoy life outside of work while contributing to a high-performing underground team.

About the role

The current sub-level cave at Northparkes offers a solid 10-year mine life, including five years of development mining. Following this, Evolution Mining has a pipeline of future projects that will extend operations for another decade. Reporting to the Underground Mining Coordinator, this role is essential to the smooth operation of our underground development activities. You'll be responsible for safely operating underground dump trucks and supporting haulage operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Operate underground dump trucks safely and efficiently to meet production targets.
• Support additional tasks as required to keep operations running smoothly.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and stakeholders to ensure seamless haulage coordination.
• Uphold Evolution's health, safety, and security standards—actively identifying risks and promoting a safe work culture.
• Demonstrate behaviours that reflect Evolution Mining's values every day.

About you

We're looking for a reliable and safety-focused operator who's ready to contribute to a high-performing underground crew.

You'll ideally have:

• Residency in the Parkes area—or you're open to relocating to this welcoming regional community.
• A minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar underground role. Experience operating Epiroc MT60 trucks is preferred but not essential.
• Certification to work at heights and security clearance to handle explosives.
• A strong commitment to safety—it's how you work, not just a requirement.
• A current "C" Class Australian Manual Driver's Licence.
