Job Title:

Senior Power Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power Systems Engineer to lead our power systems engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced power system models using PSSE, PSCAD, and PowerFactory for data centre modelling in collaboration with industry partners.
  • Conduct offshore wind grid connection studies, ensuring compliance with Australian grid codes and industry requirements.
  • Manage the technical integration of new OEMs into the national energy market, coordinating with regulatory bodies for successful integration.
  • Collaborate with clients, regulators, and internal teams to ensure industry standards and grid requirements are met.
  • Prepare and present detailed technical reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support project managers in proposals, bid preparation, and technical documentation.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, enhancing the team's technical capability.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in power systems engineering with a strong background in steady state, transient, and dynamic analysis.
  • Proven expertise in PSSE, PSCAD, and PowerFactory for system modelling and studies.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry processes, grid compliance, and national energy market connection requirements.
  • Hands-on involvement in offshore wind, renewable integration, and data centre grid connection projects.
  • Experience managing OEM integration into the national energy market.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, grid codes, and industry standards.
  • Track record of providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
