Electrical Engineers are sought after by ElectraNet Pty Ltd to bolster their Adelaide, South Australia-based Network division.

As a Power System Engineer, you will apply your knowledge of electrical engineering principles to drive resilient network performance.

The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on innovation, enjoys applying theoretical concepts in real-world challenges and can contribute effectively to long-term planning.

  • 3-5 years of experience in an Electrical Engineering discipline related role with demonstrable capability
  • A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field (essential)
  • Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia (essential)
  • A strong understanding of transmission system reliability, substation components and operational performance
  • Proficiency in power system modelling tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory and PLEXOS
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and commit to safety-first practices

This role involves evaluating customer connection proposals, negotiating performance standards, developing and maintaining power system models and contributing to strategic planning and reporting.

Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders including AEMO, SAPN and ESCOSA is expected.
