The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Risk Management Professional to lead our Customer Due Diligence team as a Senior Manager. This is a key managerial role within Merchant Risk Operations (MRO), responsible for ensuring the effective management of customer risk across ANZ Worldline merchant acquiring customers. You will develop and maintain CDD systems, processes and procedural level documentation, continuously reviewing and optimising them to meet regulatory requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage a large team of Risk Analysts and Specialists, allocating work and prioritising tasks while mentoring team members.
- Implement the AML/CTF Program, specifically focusing on CDD, and ensure compliance with Australian and international regulations.
- Develop, implement and maintain CDD policies, procedures and training programs to ensure that the business manages its customer risk effectively.
- Work closely with Sales and Second Line functions to ensure that the end-to-end onboarding process of customers is optimised while managing risk within acceptable levels.
- Provide subject matter expertise on AML/CTF Rules, Know Your Customer (KYC) and Applicable Customer Identification Procedures (ACIP).
Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5+ years in a senior Customer Due Diligence role, preferably within a payments or technology-driven organisation.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with at least 3+ years of experience.
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills, with excellent influencing and negotiation abilities.
- Possession of advanced knowledge of Office products, including PowerPoint and Excel, with outstanding commercial awareness and industry knowledge.
- A degree in Economics, Finance, Law or equivalent, with industry certification such as ACAMS being highly desirable.
Salary and Benefits
