About the Role:

As the central contact point for the ongoing delivery of the NLGVP locally and nationally, you will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders and delivering the program in a way that shapes the strategic risk framework and future for local government.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Drive the engagement and act as the central contact point for the ongoing delivery of the NLGVP locally and nationally.
  2. Engage with, and deliver, the NLGVP to the sector in a way that shapes the strategic risk framework and future for local government.
  3. Ensure that the NLGVP and profile data are incorporated into established council processes via the state-based Mutual Schemes, are strategically aligned, impactful, and communicated effectively both internally and externally across the local government sector.
  4. Provide technical advice to support the ongoing delivery of the NLGVP, including being part of the facilitation team for on-site facilitation.

Requirements:

  • An understanding of and/or previous experience in a local/state government risk environment.
  • An understanding of the three tiers of Australian government and corresponding legislation.
  • An understanding of program management principles, including planning, monitoring, evaluation, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated competency in data collection, management, and analysis, with the capacity to acquire new digital skills working with existing software.
  • Advanced communication skills, with demonstrated ability to engage, build rapport, 'carry the conversation,' and present recommendations at the CEO and senior executive level.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive estimated salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
  • The opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to shaping the future of risk management in the local government sector.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including hybrid work arrangements, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive work environment.
  • The chance to make a real impact and contribute to building resilience across the local government sector.
