Executive Vice President of Engineering

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Executive Vice President of Engineering to lead our team of space technology experts at Space Machines Company. As a key member of our Executive team, you will be responsible for developing and executing our engineering strategy, aligning with our overall vision to provide on-orbit servicing and security solutions for customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Execute Engineering Strategy: Develop and execute the company's engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with our overall vision and goals.
- Lead and Manage Engineering Team: Lead and manage a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Oversee Space Technology Development: Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of our space technology products and services.
- Ensure Project Delivery: Ensure that all engineering projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and business development, to drive product innovation and improve processes.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in the space industry, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Establish Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, suppliers, and customers in the space industry.
- Manage Engineering Budget: Manage the engineering budget, allocating resources effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the aerospace industry.
- Attract and Retain Talent: Attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent, building a world-class team of space technology experts.
We are looking for a highly experienced and visionary leader who possesses a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for space exploration. You should have a master's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field and a proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams in the aerospace industry, with a deep understanding of space systems, including on-orbit servicing technologies.
You should be capable of developing and executing long-term engineering strategies, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment, and effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You should be prepared to take on the challenges of developing groundbreaking space technologies, work tirelessly to achieve ambitious goals, and continuously stay up to date with the latest trends in the space industry.
Above all, you should have a genuine passion for advancing the field of on-orbit servicing and shaping the future of space exploration.
