Community Engagement Specialist

This role is responsible for fostering strong relationships with community groups, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to deliver impactful health and wellbeing initiatives.

Job Description

The Community Engagement Specialist will work closely with the Health and Social Planner, Community Inclusion Officer and Coordinator Community Wellbeing to provide effective stakeholder and volunteer management. This includes:

  • Strengthening community partnerships and stakeholder management
  • Establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with community organisations, government departments, and internal stakeholders
  • Facilitating consistent communication and collaboration between Council and community partners
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in community development or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement, partnership development and volunteer management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders
