Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Community Engagement Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals and families, promoting inclusive approaches and supporting their growth and development.

In this role, you will design and implement engagement processes that reflect the values of lived experience. You will also support existing participant engagement programs and promote opportunities for participants and families to develop leadership and advocacy skills.

Additionally, you will coordinate the use of service experience and outcome measures that matter to the people we serve. Your expertise in community engagement, facilitation, and partnership-building will be invaluable in achieving our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote inclusive approaches such as co-production and shared decision-making
  • Design and implement engagement processes that reflect lived experience values
  • Support and grow existing participant engagement programs
  • Promote opportunities for participants and families to develop leadership and advocacy skills
  • Coordinate the use of service experience and outcome measures that matter to the people we serve
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working in a community engagement or related role
  • Strong understanding of lived experience and its application in community settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of community resources and services
