Job Description

We are seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our community engagement function, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing effective communication and engagement strategies that build strong relationships with our customers and stakeholders.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing community engagement plans that meet the needs of our diverse customer base;
  • Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and delivery partners to ensure community values are at the heart of our work;
  • Leading best-practice engagement, building strong stakeholder relationships, and developing high-quality communication and engagement plans, programs, and activities that advocate for great customer and community outcomes;

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our customers and contribute to the development of our community engagement function.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in communication and engagement roles working on multiple projects;
  • Experience developing and executing community and stakeholder engagement programs and plans that build community capacity and social licence to operate;
  • Ability to provide specialist advice combined with exceptional negotiation and influencing skills;
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style for a diverse audience;
