This role involves developing diverse strategies and policies to deliver on the implementation of the Integrated Transport Plan policy framework, ensuring a sustainable integrated transport system for the City.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of Council's traffic and transport policies, strategies, and plans.
  • Ensure consultation and collaboration between internal and external stakeholders, including the community.
  • Undertake project management tasks, including preparing tender briefs.
  • Provide professional advice to internal and external audiences to achieve sustainable and strategic transport outcomes.
  • Develop various written communications such as reports and correspondence.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in transport planning, strategic planning, traffic and/or transport engineering or a closely related field.
  • Substantial experience with integrated transport planning, strategic land use, and/or sustainable transport related issues.
  • Knowledge of current transport-related issues and relevant policies and government roles.
  • Substantial experience in project development, management, and delivery of outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, work independently, and collaboratively, and engage stakeholders.
