About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to provide safe, non-emergency transport for eligible community patients in Perth, WA. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives.Key Responsibilities:
- Providing safe, non-emergency transport for eligible community patients
- Assisting patients in and out of vehicles, including wheelchair-capable transport
- Following clinical care directions from senior team members
- Communicating with our dispatch team to ensure timely responses
- Conducting vehicle checks and maintaining cleanliness, stock, and equipment
- Submitting accurate Patient Care Records and other documentation
- Reporting hazards or incidents and following safety protocols
About You:
You will be a team player who works towards common objectives, deadlines, and set KPIs. Your empathetic nature will support your patients with dignity and respect.
Requirements:
- Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate and HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy certificate or willing to obtain prior to employment
- Hold an unrestricted C-class driver's license and drive safely and reasonably
- Have a current WA working with children check (or willing to obtain one)
- A national police clearance to be obtained prior to the commencement date and commit to renewing every three years
- Vaccination as per government guidelines for healthcare workers
- Physically fit to provide patient transport services
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol screening
- Previous experience within the disability, aged care or patient transport services is highly regarded but not essential
