Job Description

As a Community Transport Driver, you will be responsible for transporting patients to and from designated locations, assisting with mobility if necessary. You will undertake community transport transfers within specified timeframes, transfer equipment items when required, and follow established transfer routes to ensure timely completion of transfers.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are clean, fuelled, and properly configured for each transfer, as well as adhering to road rules and St John WA vehicle policies. Additionally, you will report any unsafe conditions or incidents that occur and comply with all occupational safety and health policies and procedures.

  • Transport patients to and from given locations, assisting with mobility if necessary
  • Undertake community transport transfers within specified timeframes
  • Transfer equipment items when required
  • Follow established transfer routes to ensure timely completion of transfers
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold a current unrestricted driver's license with no more than 6 demerit points
  • Have a current Provide First Aid Certificate and Provide CPR Certificate
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional and mature attitude with an outstanding work ethic
  • Team focused with the ability to work autonomously
  • Basic Microsoft and computer skills
  • Experience working in the Aged Care or Disability Sector is highly desirable
