Key Responsibilities

About Our Team

The Finance Team is a part of JPEU's Headquarter division, which provides overarching support to the entire unit. As a Finance Officer, you will work within a small team of finance and procurement professionals. Employment at P&EE Port Wakefield includes a Special Defence Locality Assistance (SDLA) allowance of $309.85 per fortnight, and P&EE Graytown has an SDLA allowance of $184.44 per fortnight.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in contract administration and management. They will be able to exercise knowledge of contractual compliance to Commonwealth Guidelines and processes and have experience in providing technical and professional policy advice. The ideal candidate will be technically competent in procurement from generation of purchase orders through to payment and account reconciliations.

A high degree of communication and interpersonal skills is advantageous for the position. The ideal candidate will be competent in managing their own workload, working autonomously when required, and contributing to team objectives. JPEU is seeking a candidate who is detail-oriented, driven to achieve high standards and provide exceptional support within the unit and externally.

The right person for this role will show the flexibility to respond to the changing context and shifting priorities of JPEU. In this role, the individual will provide support to a geographically dispersed team.
