About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Policy Officer to join our team in the Australian Government Department of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update guidance material and training for Australian Government entities on financial reporting and budget frameworks.
- Analyse and interpret trends and movements in financial data.
- Assist in providing stewardship of the accounting and finance profession across the Commonwealth public service.
- Analyse and interpret accounting standards and other guidance to provide timely and accurate advice to stakeholders.
- Assist with coordination of a range of administrative tasks, as required.

- The ability to proactively gather and analyse information to produce high-quality advice.
- Problem-solving abilities based on a questioning mind and an ability to think laterally.
