About the Division and Branches

The Finance Leadership and Policy Officer position is an exciting opportunity to join the Australian Government Department of Finance.

We are a dedicated team of professionals passionate about financial management and accounting policy advice to the Australian Government.

The role will provide support to the interaction of policy and operational responsibilities across teams, including:

  • Supporting cross-branch operations to embed consistent quality and engagement
  • Quality Assurance of written material
  • Coordinating and drafting the Division's input to cross-division/departmental initiatives
  • Taking a lead role in coordinating the Division's Business Planning process
  • Supporting the development of the Division budget
  • Overseeing the Division's training and development plan
  • Coordinating the Division's Parliamentary Committee engagement
