KPMG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Services Manager to join its team in Hobart. This role offers the opportunity to work with a range of clients across various industries, providing outsourced bookkeeping, management accounting, and finance functions.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have experience in management accounting services, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality financial services to clients, including preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts;
  • Managing the general ledger, including reconciliations and account analysis;
  • Assisting clients with the transition to automated cloud software systems;
  • Preparing and reviewing complex payroll, including overtime, terminations, and redundancies;
  • Preparation and lodgement of periodic superannuation and payroll tax reporting and payments;
  • Preparation and review of superannuation guarantee charge statements;
  • Periodic bank reconciliations;
  • Credit card reconciliations;
  • Supporting clients' finance function teams;
  • Managing the general ledger, including overseeing the monthly balance sheet, banking, and inter-company reconciliations;

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial accounting requirements, including income tax and compliance obligations. They will also have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
