About the Role

The National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health is seeking Lived Experience Project Workers to join our team. As a Lived Experience Project Worker, you will work closely with project managers and project officers to co-design and implement projects that improve healthcare for people with intellectual disability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-develop project plans and strategies with project teams
  • Co-design accessible documents and resources for people with intellectual disability
  • Test and provide feedback on documents and resources
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to achieve project goals
Requirements
  • Lived experience of intellectual disability
  • Passion for improving healthcare for people with intellectual disability
  • Understanding and/or experience of working in projects and with project teams
  • Confidence to ask questions, share ideas, and discuss issues with other people with intellectual disability, families, advocates, and health service providers
About the Centre

The National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health is a part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health at UNSW Australia. We work closely with a consortium of organisations to co-design resources, approaches, and information with people with intellectual disability, health services, families, and carers.
